While it’s a well-known fact that the upcoming BMW 3-Series coupe will be coming with a fixed top and convertible, there has been scarce detail on the latter. Wheels24, though, may have secured the first pic with the top down.
The convertible’s hardtop roof folds in a similar manner as the Volvo C70 or the Pontiac G6 convertible four-door. This allows more trunk space and open/close speed. Because of its weight, the editors expect the convertible to be heavier and with greater structural stiffness than its coupe version.
The BMW 3-Series convertible is expected to debut at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show this December and go on sale in early 2007.
